Catching up---Happy Mother's Day

WOW am I behind. Since our last post, we have been to the STICKS country concert in Auburn, AL. It was so much fun. Maegan has started playing softball, I think she is up to 4 homeruns and several doubles and triples. She is playing pitcher and doing a really good job. We are so proud of her. Stephen and I have taken on being leaders for the Valley Recreation Parent Association--we try to raise $$ for the children's sports--it is a lot of work, but it is definately for a good cause! Keeps us running and on the go, but I guess that is the way it is suppose to be. Stephen went deep sea fishing with some buddies and had lots of fun. Maegan and I went on her school field trip for her AR points. We went to a place called Butts Mills Farm---they had ponies, hay ride, train ride, bull ride and LOTS of playgrounds. All the kids had a great time. I had a realization just the other day that this time next year I should be DONE with school!!!! I file my intent to do my internship and graduate when I register for Summer semester, so only two more semesters of classes and then the big internship---I sure need the prayers, so keep them coming!!!! I was trying to do a slideshow of our Sticks trip, but haven't had much success(haven't really took the time to figure it out)--so I am posting just a few pics from that. I hope to take my camera to Maegan's game this Tuesday and take some pictures, so hopefully I will be posting those pictures soon. Hope everyone had a great Mother's Day!!!

SPRING BREAK FUN!!!

Maegan is on Spring Break this week so Stephen and I took a couple of days off to spend with her. She had a friend Maddie Johnson spend the night and the next day we went to CiCi's pizza, Hickory Dickory Park in Auburn and to Brusters for ice cream. We all had a blast. Today we are heading to the Sticks concert in Parker Hill, AL. We are taking the RV for a fun filled weekend. Maegan is going down with us today and then to her Aunt Tracey's and Grandmama's for the weekend(they are going to split the days!!!). Hope you enjoy the pics from our day at the park!

Happy Easter

What a wonderful day Sunday was. We are so thankful that Jesus died for us! Maegan joined the church Sunday morning and we could not be more proud. She is such a smart young lady and knows what she believes in. She was baptized as a baby, so she remembered her baptizism and said the confirmation vows. We took some pics in front of the cross at church and one of her and Brother Mike. AFter church, our dear friends Shannon, Kelli, Thomas and Maddy invited us for a egg hunt and grilled chicken(how could we resist). The day was absolutely beautiful and Maegan had a blast---she found the golden egg!!!!! Hope everyone enjoyed their day as much as we did!!!

Church Easter Egg Hunt & Picnic

We had our annual Easter Egg hunt/picnic Saturday afternoon. We could not have ask for a more beautiful day. It was not too hot and not too cold. Maegan had a blast and really enjoyed getting to spend it with her cousin Lily Claire. We put out a bunch of eggs for all the babies to "play" with, it was too funny......Here are a few pics from the day.

Egg Hunt at Maegan's School

Maegan's class was able to get their egg hunt in before the bad weather hit, so she was happy about that. The hunt/party was held at one the student's house--they hunted eggs in a huge yard, got candy from a pinata and had lots of cool snacks. Here are a few pics......

Ladies Softball

Well, it was one wet day and we decided to play softball anyway!!. What a hoot!!! All of us needed an oxygen mask after running the bases!! Our team had never practiced together before so we got hammered in the first game 23-3--but we HAD FUN!!! The second game we only lost 11-5 so we are getting better..LOL! I probably will not be able to move tomorrow but at least I can say I played a "double header"!!!!

Vist continued....

Nana bought birdhouses for the kids to paint, so Saturday while it was so gloomy outside, we painted birdhouses inside! The kids had a blast. They are showing them off in the pictures. Later Saturday, we decided to go to Shakey's in Auburn. They really enjoyed the game room--they had a ton of tickets and had to show off their prizes in the other picture. Grant and Kaylee went home Sunday and we miss them already, but hopefully they will be back for another visit this summer.
