Vist continued....

Nana bought birdhouses for the kids to paint, so Saturday while it was so gloomy outside, we painted birdhouses inside! The kids had a blast. They are showing them off in the pictures. Later Saturday, we decided to go to Shakey's in Auburn. They really enjoyed the game room--they had a ton of tickets and had to show off their prizes in the other picture. Grant and Kaylee went home Sunday and we miss them already, but hopefully they will be back for another visit this summer.

Visit from Texas Niece and Nephew

Our niece and nephew, Kaylee and Grant are here for a short visit this weekend. They flew from Houston, TX all by themselves. Stephen's mom picked them up at the airport on Wednesday evening. Grant and Maegan are both 8 and Kaylee is 6--they have a blast playing together. Friday evening we all went to the local mexican restaurant, then Maegan and Kaylee went to spend the night with Nana while Grant decided to come stay with us. He and Uncle Stephen got up around 5:00 to go turkey hunting--it was raining but they decided to give it a shot. Grant had never been hunting before. The picture is of them before they headed out---is it just me or do they look alike!!!!!!! I plan to take more pictures today and get them posted. It is yucky and rainy, so we are off to McDonalds to eat and play on the playground.

Beautiful Day!

Wow what a beautiful day it was Saturday. We were up early and off to my softball practice---yes mom is attempting to play a little softball this spring. We went early so that Maegan could practice her hitting a little bit and she could go play while I tried not to break anything. LOL. We fininshed up there around 11:00, had some lunch on the deck, then Maegan played outside mostly on her new "ironman rings" so she could do some flips! Stephen and I installed a new gadget on the camper. Around 5:00 we headed down to our friends Shannon and Kelli's to see the twins and grill some supper. It was a great day, but tiring. Our Maegan was POOPED and fell asleep on Kelli's couch!! We can only hope that Sunday will be just as beautiful!!!

Maegan's company

Maegan is having fun with Maddie and Lilly Johnson this weekend. Their parents needed to go out of town for the weekend, so they are hanging with us. Unfortunatley, the weather is yucky so they are having to entertain themselves inside. Here are a few pics of them......

We went RACING!

Our good friends Kelli and Shannon were gracious enough to share their gift of Atlanta Motor Speedway Race tickets. We joined them on Sunday for a full day of tailgating and race activities. We could not have asked for more beautiful weather--not too hot, not too cold--it was great!
Just wanted to share a few of the pics we took that day.

Yes we are SUCKERS!

Maegan was so sad and begging to "just build a small snowman--I never have before"----so, yes we gave in. She had on 5 layers of clothes and was told NOT to sit down in it!!!! We definately did not want her get sicker. We only stayed out about 20 minutes and even she was ready to come inside where it was warm.

A Few More Snow Pics

What a weekend!!

Well, Friday evening we were at the After Hours Pediatric Clinic because Maegan was running a fever of 102. They did a throat swab, and she has strep throat! She has not felt good at all--ran fever all day yesterday, getting up to 103 at 4:00 yesterday. She slept for about 3 hours (the picture posted) and it had come down by then. Thank goodness the fever has broken as of this morning!! Can you beleive it is March 1st and we have about 3 inches of snow on the ground. I took some pictures(from inside of course)--it is beautiful. Unfortunately with Maegan being sick she has to sit at the door and look at it (breaks your heart)!!!!!! Stephen and I heard a loud what sounded like a boom....Maegan looked out the door and said I know what made that noise----we had a HUGE pine limb down in the front yard!! As I was typing this, Stephen said we have another limb down...Pray they do not hit our house!!
